High School students attended the Northeast Community College Scholastic day held in Norfolk a few weeks ago. The following students placed in the top ten in their area of testing. Good job to everyone!

The Niobrara Valley Conference High School Golf tournament will be held at Tatanka Golf Club April 23, with a shotgun start at 9:00. Driving range will be open at 7:45, driving range balls are included in the event. There will be a players meeting at 8:45. Carts will be lined up to shuttle the players to their starting holes. The golfers will drive out to their starting holes and will leave the carts out on the golf course until their round is over and then use the carts on their last hole to drive back to the clubhouse

Order of events for the Summerland High School and Junior High Track Meet on Tuesday April 23rd:
There will be no school for Kindergarten through 6th grade on Friday, April 26 due to a teacher in-service.
For their education career cluster the 8th-grade students created short lesson plans with activities to teach the Kindergarten students. The engaging stations included Math word problems, addition and subtraction with Unifix cubes , an M&M's addition and subtraction game, and a play-doh activity with ten frames. The kindergarten students absolutely loved participating in these engaging tasks!

The JH track meet that was to be held in O'Neill on Tuesday, April 16th has now been moved to Monday, April 15th because of the weather. Start times will remain the same, field events at noon & running events at 1:00pm.
Congratulations to our Multi-Activity Student Award Recipients!! This award program recognizes students who participate in more than one sport and/or activity. This year each of these students has the opportunity to also apply for a $1000 scholarship to Chadron State, Peru State and Wayne State colleges. Congratulations to the students who step up and step out! KPCS and your community is proud of you!
