Although they didn’t make it to finals the Keya Paha FFA welding team sure had some amazing learning opportunities today in Cheyenne, WY! LCCC tours, LCCC welding competition in an amazing shop, Cheyenne Depot Museum, Old West Museum and some great food!
Volleyball Sub-District Information for Monday October 24th
Junior High Girls Basketball and Junior High Wrestling start next Monday the 24th. Basketball practice will be at KP and Wrestling at RC all week.
Dear Parents,
As you are aware, there have been some changes in the Elementary school this year. That being said, we would like to explain the protocol for entering/leaving the elementary school and reporting absences.
Students wishing to eat breakfast should enter through the high school doors.
After 8:15 am, everybody enters through the high school and checks in at the office.
If students are absent or going to be absent from school, let the high school office know.
When picking up students early:
Check in at the high school office.
They will call over to the appropriate room.
Your student(s) will exit through the high school doors.
There will be a send off for Angela today for the State Cross Country meet. She will be going through the spirit tunnel at 1:45
This is a reminder that Makala Williams with Northeast Community College will be holding a zoom call at 5:30PM to explain dual credits as well as other benefits through Northeast and how this can support your student! Senior parents, following this at 6:30PM will be the FAFSA Completion virtual webinar that will go through the steps of completing the FAFSA. Please join us in the high school library for these presentations.

KP will host volleyball games on Tuesday, the 11th with Boyd Co. JV will play at 5:30 and Varsity will follow . Tuesday will also be Parents Night. Cross Country- will be announced prior to the start of the Varsity Volleyball game (immediately after the JV game) Volleyball- will be announced prior to the start of the Varsity Volleyball game (immediately after the JV game).
There will be NO SCHOOL on Friday, the 14th and Monday, the 17th for students. The teachers have an in-service Monday morning at 8:00. Parent Teachers conferences will be held Monday from 3:00-7:00.
Cross Country Districts will be held in Ainsworth on Thursday, October 13th at 4:00.
Thursday, the NC Lady Knights will play in West Holt with JV starting at 4:00.
Also on Thursday the Knights football team will be playing at Summerland starting at 7:00.
Since its such a nice day there will be K-4th grade football practice after school today for those that can make it.

It's been a busy week in our agricultural classroom. Students attended EDGE Conference in Atkinson at the beginning of the week, where they met with State FFA Officers. Throughout the week, students have hosted some guest speakers including the Marie Larson with the Revitalization Committee and Jack Keating with Corral Technologies. Students learned the importance of community clean up days and about new virtual fencing technologies.
