Ag. Business Trip Day 5: After our long day of travels yesterday we decided to take on the hot day at Hurricane Harbor, Six Flags in Phoenix. We ate a delicious supper at Texas Roadhouse and spent the evening by our neighborhood pool. We are ready for our last day tomorrow and travels home!

Ag. Business Trip Day 4: We traveled to Sedona where we did some sight seeing of the landscape and then went for a hike. The hike was 5.8 miles long up to Devils Bridge where we took some amazing photos. After we got back from our hike, we went to see the Montazuma Castle near Sedona. We then made our way to Phoenix and went swimming in the neighborhood pool.

Ag. Business Trip Day 3: We spent our morning at the Arboretum at Flagstaff where we learned more about different methods of control in a greenhouse. We spent the afternoon downtown Flagstaff where we visited a few shops and observed the different culture of Flagstaff. In the evening, we went to the Lowells Observatory where Pluto was first found. We got a chance to look at and explore different telescopes and the history behind the observatory. We ended the day by eating at the Galaxy Diner, an 80s style diner!

Ag. Business Trip Day 2: we started the day by traveling to Hualapai Point where we went on a hike that overlooked the Grand Canyon. Then we went zip lining, we then took a shuttle to Eagles Point where we viewed the Grand Canyon from a glass skywalk. Afterwards we climbed the rocks at Guano Point that gave us a better view of the canyon and the Colorado River, we then traveled to Flagstaff where we went to an Organic food store where we picked up drinks and different fruits to try. The observations that we had was the land down south was dryer and there were a lot of Joshua trees whereas the land around Flagstaff had more trees and wasn't as dry. The houses improved the farther we got into productive country where they also had more irrigation.

Ag Business Trip Day 1: Students flew out of Omaha bright and early this morning. When they arrived at Phoenix they grabbed their luggage, hopped on the sky train, got their rental car, and headed to Wickenburg, Arizona. There they ate lunch, visited the towns roping arena, and found out some history about the town. After that they headed down the road to travel to Kingman, Arizona. Once they arrived they got ice cream, and ended the night eating Mexican food. Agriculturally, student's experienced flood irrigation, Brahma influenced cattle, and drier ranch country.

HILO( High Impact Learning Opportunity) is what is happening on our 4th annual agricultural business trip! Four students flew to Arizona to explore the agriculture and culture of the state. Day 1 is completed!
