
Keya Paha County School is experiencing a number of student illnesses. Please, if your child is feeling unwell, keep them home. They should return to school only after being fever free or no longer showing fever signs (chills, flushed appearance, feeling very warm, or sweating) for 24 hours. School WILL be in session for those that can attend on Thursday, March 7.

Keya Paha FFA welding team traveled to Beloit, Kansas last Friday to compete at the NCK Tech College GMAW welding competition. Out of 48 team they placed 19th! Out of 182 individuals Jackson-40th, Beau-71st, John-102, Connor-121.




Final Results for FFA Career Development Events (CDEs) #1. Natural Resources, Meat Science, and Vet Science will compete this coming Tuesday for the chance to compete at State FFA CDEs.

On the Road Again! FFA members traveled to Norfolk bright and early on Monday to compete in Food Science, Agriscience, Ag. Biotechnology, Ag. Technology & Mechanics, Vet Science, and Welding. Results will be posted later this week! The Welding Team is heading to Kansas to compete at the NCK Welding Competition next.

There will be NO After School Enrichment until further notice. I am hoping it will get started up again later in the spring.

How clear is your written communication and how well do you know the scientific method? Linking writing and science, 5th and 6th grade groups put their skills to the test by creating a paper plane experiment and having another group follow their directions to complete the experiment.

Mrs. Trahan spent the weekend attending Nebraska Agricultural Education Association Chairperson quarterly meeting and scoring state proficiencies. It was great to see the many great SAE projects from across the state, spend time with the Ag. Ed family, and catch up with a former student briefly. #taggedtoteachag

The High School Track Pre-Season meeting will be after school on Thursday February 29th.

High School track practice will start Monday March 4 in Bassett. Coach Klosterman will have a pre-season meeting sometime this next week. That will be announced at a later time on here as well as on Team Reach.
