National FFA SAE Grant Recipients Announced!!!!
The Keya Paha FFA Chapter is pleased to announce that Daisy and Morgan have received an SAE Grant each for $1000 to help them expand their current SAE (Supervised Agricultural Experience).
Daisy's SAE Grant Sponsor was Topcon. She will be using the funds to help expand her hair sheep production SAE. Daisy raises hair sheep to utilize diverse rotational grazing on her families ranch and sells her wethers straight to customers for meat.
Morgan's SAE Grant Sponsor was Farm Credit. The grant money will be used to expand his cattle herd by purchasing more heifers. One of his goals is to expand his herd by 20% annually for the next 7 years and plans on using artificial insemination to better his herds genetics in growth rate and maternal characteristics.
Congratulations to both Daisy and Morgan!

JH Boys Basketball will start Wednesday, Dec. 15th. They will be practicing at RC - Which means that the wrestling team will have to switch practice sites mid-week.
The JH Boys that are out for wrestling have the option of not starting until Monday, Dec. 20th to give them a few days off between sports. They may attend if they choose to, but it will not be mandatory for them until Monday.
